ARCH 632: Responsive Building Envelopes - Phu Hoang - Rovaniemi, Finland

A project for a elective in the design of responsive building envelopes, the primary goal for this project was to combat the extreme cold of Finland's climate. This is done by creating several layers of buffer zones between the exterior and the office space inside. Furthermore, the geometric panels are designed to capture as much daylight as possible as well as to collect snow. As a global warming awareness center, the melting of the building each spring will symbolize the melting glaciers.
